About the Hogadon Ski Area Master Plan
During the first half of 2013, the City of Casper, Wyoming undertook the development of a Master Plan to guide future management, recreational use and facility development at the community-owned Hogadon Ski Area. The project team, made up of City staff and consultants, user group representatives, and other interested stakeholders, commenced the project in January 2013. The team conducted a comprehensive public involvement campaign, a detailed assessment of the condition and adequacy of existing facilities and ski terrain, the development of conceptual building plans, and recommendations for future marketing, on-site services and operational optimization.
Throughout the planning process, the public provided feedback using a variety of methods, including written comments, slope-side surveys, public workshops, and social media. An interactive web portal gives web visitors an opportunity to participate in the discussion and provides an opportunity for engagement to those who might be otherwise unable to participate. The final Master Plan was presented to the Casper City Council for consideration on July 23, 2013. The Council will now consider adoption of and funding for the master plan. Click here to view the document in pdf form.
